Powder Injection Molding (PIM) is a broad, growing technology which includes Metal Injection Molding (MIM) for making large quantities of relatively small complex shaped parts with high performance properties. Five basic steps are required in the process: tooling, mixing, molding, stripping and sintering. Conventional secondary operations can be added if required.
